Please use the Combo box when:

  1. Users are only allowed to choose one of the selections in the form.
  2. Users need enter a custom value sometimes.
  3. You want to specify the format even the range of the optional selection.

And please use the List box when:

  1. Users need to do mutiple choices.
  2. Execute a script with selection changes.

There are some more differences. Hope that our advice may help you.
