Transfering DocuCom PDF Driver from 2002 to new computer

I purchased DocuCom PDF Printer driver in 2002 from Scansoft/Digital River. It has worked well for years. I am retiring that computer and attempting to transfer to my new laptop, using the original distribution disk and serial number.

It "nearly works". It makes a good pdf file, but a printer error icon (printer with a ?) shows up in the system tray reporting "Error-Printing" status; the error clears if I "Cancel All Documents"

What did I do wrong?
